Flora Bhattachary Portrait - FB Fine Jewellery

Flora is “devoted to telling a story not in words or paint on canvas, but in gold and precious stone. A thought, a feeling, a moment in history, embodied forever in a jewel"

Maria Doulton, The Jewellery Editor

Flora can trace her relationship with jewellery back to childhood - growing up in a highly creative, bohemian environment shaped by art and hand making. Raised by artist parents and surrounded by expressive interiors, fashion, and painting, she developed an early sensitivity to pattern, material and form.

Time spent in India during her childhood deepened this visual language, introducing a lasting fascination with ancient jewellery, symbolism, and gemstones - influences that continue to inform her work today.

Now an award-winning designer, Flora is celebrated for her restrained use of pattern, colour, and structure. Her relaxed designs balance an intuitive sensibility with a careful approach to proportion and detail.

With over two decades in jewellery and an MA from Central Saint Martins, Flora brings a deep understanding of design and making. Working closely with specialist craftspeople in the UK, each piece is individually handcrafted in her Hatton Garden studio, resulting in jewellery that feels personal, effortless and enduring.
